Collette nodded emphatically. “No way a woman did this.”

Kevin noticed that his partner had moved off to the side and was examining the ground. He forced his focus back to the medical examiner. “Time of death?”

“Again, I’ll have a more definite answer after the autopsy, but right now I’d put it at between 8 and 11 pm last night. But you’ve missed the most interesting part so far.”

Kevin frowned at her. “What?”

“Take a closer look at her stomach.”
