Passing the ring through the flame of the white candle on the altar, he chanted, “I cleanse this ring, by the power of Michael’s sacred fire so that I may remove any negative energies within it.”

The ring seemed to writhe in his hand, but his grip remained firm. Dawn was just moments away. Jim concentrated his will, taking the power surrounding him and feeding it into his spell.

With his other hand, he dipped his hand into the cauldron of holy water and sprinkled a few drops on the ring. He could hear the sizzle as they hit, similar to the sound of oil on a hot skillet. “I cleanse this ring, by the power of Raphael’s holy water so that I may remove any negative energies within it.”

White light slowly engulfed and quenched the green energies...
