He shook his head. “Another day.”

“Oh, yeah.” I stood up and started for the kitchen. “I’ve got just enough time to brew a potion to replace the one I just used. I’d better get it finished before Paul gets here.”

“He’s stopping by?” Runner sounded surprised.

“He’d better be. I told him I had a potion for him.”

He grinned. “Good thinking. Following him makes it easier to figure out where this showdown is happening.”

I shot him an answering grin over my shoulder. “I thought so. And the potion really will help, so he’d better show up. But I’ve got a Plan B just in case he doesn’t.”

“With Paul, that’s always a good idea.”
