I knew a woman who grew up with Bob Ross. Not actually with him, but she had a knack for colour and watched him on TV up through her teens. Then it was one day that she found confidence by one of his paintings. She wanted to do it herself.
She didn’t have the right tools, but how much different could watercolors be to oil paints? It turned out better than what she saw it as, but Ross had the texture of tone she couldn’t.
