The Zoom meeting had been brief and concise. The Council had determined that, based on the gravity of the recent events and the possibility of the teams’ role in those events being discovered, they were to return to Headquarters as soon as possible. By three o’clock they were touching down at their home airfield.

Two days later everyone who was involved in the operation or had any knowledge of it was gathered in a large conference room at Enki headquarters. Each one had been individually debriefed by Bragason’s people. This was to be a team review of everything that had happened.
