They were having a room service breakfast when Freya’s laptop signaled an incoming message.

She picked it up and quickly checked the message. “That’s the support crew. It looks like the hack did its job. They said there is a lot of data and most of it is either encrypted, password protected, or both. Very professionally done. They have no idea when they’ll have anything usable.”

“Until they do, we are pretty much on hold. Do we want to continue to surveil the subjects we know about? Will that tell us anything new?” Geffen asked. “Bear in mind the more we follow them, the greater the risk we’ll get made.”

What about our original subject, Bright?” Shimmy asked. “Shouldn’t we try and see what’s going on with him?&rdquo...
