Their target was in the middle lane. They could see his head was turning frantically from left to right and then back left. “He’s too busy looking for Lily to notice us. Still, stay to his right if you can.” Geffen instructed. “He’ll be less likely to notice you if it looks like you’re going to turn. I’ll watch for turn only lanes. We don’t want to get caught in one. And keep some distance if you can.”

“That frame makes it pretty easy to keep track of him without having to be too close. How long do you think he’ll look before he gives up?”

“In this traffic, not too long. I just hope he doesn’t decide to cruise the complexes looking for the car. That could leave us pretty exposed.”
