At that point, McKinney noticed the two apprentices talking quietly between themselves.

“Vadin.” Tia started. “As long as we have you here, we have something to show you. We have wanted to show you for some time but you have been so busy lately.”

Karasdottir looked a little curious. “Go on.”

“Several months ago Lily recalled something neither of us had ever remembered encountering before. Since you were not available, we asked Vadin Egede if she had ever noticed it. She had not, but as we discussed it and tried to recall further she was able to recall additional information.”
