Jason spun in place, listening for intruders, but the only sound came from the crackling of the fire.  Seconds ago he was sure he felt the familiar stomach-tightening sensation of a transition in progress, but when he opened his eyes he was still standing in the middle of the room.  Except, he thought as he surveyed the room, this isn’t the real cabin after all.

“Of course it’s real, brother.”

“Fine, if you wish,” he said.  “Not corporeal, then.”  He thought of the real world.  “I need to get back,” he said, shifting his weight from foot to foot like a toddler who needed to pee.  “Right now.”

The other Jason appeared before him, and moved to stand by the door.  He pulled one...
