Phil signed the receipt as the clerk slid the keys across the counter.  She was young and pretty in that Mid-Western mold, though her brown hair was cut short in more of an East Coast style.  Her smile was huge—all teeth and gums—and he returned the gesture.

“Should be good to go, sir.”

“I’m just glad it was all covered,” he said cheerily.  In fact, though, he was more pleased the repairs took a single day, and that he and Jason spent just one night in town.  He looked over at his nephew, watching him sit in the little plastic chair that was bolted to the floor in the waiting area.  His right leg was bouncing like a sewing machine.
