On this night of tricks and treats

I say to you, “Only treats for me”

Tricks can be so harmful

My poor little heart

Can only take so much!

Give me lollipops and chewing gum

No scares or frights for me

Only tiny chocolate bars

Can my poor constitution

Take on this frightful night!

Save your malicious pranks

For those with darker tastes

The only darkness I can take

Is that of cocoa-made treats

Preferably with nuts, please!

Though it may sound different

I’m really not picky

I like all manner of confections
