I no longer remember my previous life

When my heart would beat like those of my prey

I barely remember the beginnings of this new life

So much time has passed

I would once seduce my prey

I would dress in the finest clothes

Apply cosmetics and perfumes with the utmost of care

Share words enrobed in caramel sweetness

Compliments to woo my nourishment

But now, I take my prey

Like a savage beast

Aching from hunger

I have descended completely into madness

I have no fond memories

I no longer care for pretty things

Whether they be words, fine clothing and accoutrements

All I have is this hunger
