By Saturday morning I was happy to have the chance to sleep in. Martha and I snuggled in our cozy bed until almost eight o'clock. After breakfast, I read the paper in a leisurely fashion over a pot of my favorite tea. I was feeling quite smug, even though I hadn't uncovered the murderer myself, my best friend had, and I had helped in the investigation.
I took inventory of all that I had learned on this case, and made a few more notes for myself. I knew I would need to begin my chronicle of the case the next day at the latest.
