I walked over to a nearby stone statue of St. Jude and broke off its large sword, the stone hand still wrapped around the hilt. “As a servant of God, you saw a man murdered and told no one?” I said doubtfully. “I think you may be lying to me, Father.” I raised the sword high with both hands on the hilt and the blade pointed down, and when I rested the end on his shoulder, his eyes widened and he gave a small gasp. “I know this blade isn't sharp, but put enough force behind it and even a dull stone blade can pierce flesh. So I'll ask you again. Have you told anyone else?”
