“I eventually lost consciousness and was awoken by a boot to my ribs and I realized I was no longer bound or in any pain. I quickly sat up and pulled the sack off my head and saw that I was alone and sitting in the middle of a barn surrounded by cattle. I scrambled to my feet, fearful he would come after me again, but there was no other sound besides the soft lowing of the cows. Upon exiting the barn, I found myself on a farm out in the country, far from the dark streets of London. The screech of an owl overhead startled me, for it was so loud in my ears I thought it was going to land right on top me.
