            Alexander opened the door to his car for Evelyn and proceeded to unload her bag from the trunk. The mansion looked as dirty and run down as it always had, except for the evident addition of flowers around the foundation. They were purple, with five little petals and exceptionally large amounts of greenery. Mara had put forth her best effort and made sure that some of the new members mulched around the flowers, in a show of hospitality. Alexander watched as Evelyn took in the sights, the crumbling rooftop, the moss covered statues and yet said nothing. She knelt to admire the flowers, dusted herself off and turned to face Alexander. He’d come up behind her without a noise and had she not been expecting him, he would have scared her.
