CHANNILLO
The Psychic Sisters & the Haunted Music Box
By Sherrie Curtis

Series Description:

Alex and Angel are sisters that own a spiritual shop.  They were born with the gift to see and converse with ghosts.  They perform group readings at weddings, and sell spiritual items, and advise at their shop in Santa Rosa, California, which is very successful.

Hunter is a popular TV personality. He chases ghosts for a living!  Hunter hosts and produces documentaries about “the other side” and the ghosts that dwell there.  He travels the world to capture what he can on film.  In Las Vegas, Nevada, Hunter owns a museum full of ghosts and haunted artifacts.  He is not psychic, just a believer because of what happened to him as a child.

Hunter hired Alex along with two other psychics to advise him about which items to purchase at an estate auction.  Unusual things happen to the bidders when a broken music box is up for auction.  Hunter loads his newly acquired items in his van to transport back to his museum in Las Vegas.  The ghost (Julia), attached to the music box refuses to let him take the box and does everything in her power to prevent him from leaving California with her music box.  Hunter calls Alex for help.  “You and I both know I can’t call a mechanic to fix an engine stalled by a ghost!” said Hunter sarcastically.  He finally convinces Alex to accompany him as an interpreter to help him convince Julia to let him get back to his museum.  Alex interprets what Julia has to say and becomes forever linked to Hunter’s new problems.

Julia, is depressed because she can’t teleport from Las Vegas back to her husband (Eddie) in California.  Hunter and Alex agree to find Eddie and bring him to her.  Eddie refuses to go, not believing what they say.  Once they convince Eddie to go to Vegas they have to find a way to get him there.  Eddie is fascinated with the sexy women in Vegas and Julia becomes a legend bringing in lots of customers, especially newlyweds, to the museum.

Angel meets a man from her previous life but rejects him even though she has strong chemistry with him.  He is a mortician.  He tries to become part of her life and ends up helping Hunter.  “Do we date morticians?” sassed Alex as she gave Angel a strange look.  “They’re not exactly a normal, everyday, person.”

 Angel sassed her, “Like us?”

Alex replied, “I guess that was the wrong word.  Isn’t that kind of creepy?” she asked.

Angel replied, “Do you mean creepy like talking to spirits of dead people?”

Hunter is blackmailed by a vampire named, the Duke.  Alex helps to protect his family from the Duke.  The Duke chose Hunter’s museum as a place to sleep during the day to be close to a mirror that incarcerated the King of the vampires.  The King has been missing for one hundred years and the Queen must choose a new King.  The sisters don’t want anything to do with vampires and reject Hunter.  Eventually they join his quest to destroy the Duke.  The sisters save the day when the men are over powered by the vampires.  My female characters are always smart, independent and sassy.

The story has humor, wit and romance, throughout it.  I have written only two violent scenes that are kept to a minimum so I don’t scare away romance readers.
