Christopher was helping Miss Phoebe into her chair at the breakfast table when Hal came crashing into the dining room via the kitchen, chomping on what looked to be a sandwich made from fried eggs, bacon, and some other type of meat – perhaps ham. He dropped his freshly-showered and suited-up self down upon a chair next to Madame Penelope, who looked up pleasantly from her plate of boiled eggs, fried tomatoes and mushrooms toward her nephew. “Good morning, my darling. Christopher could prepare your breakfast if you’d like, or, of course, you could continue to gnaw upon that abomination in your right hand. Either way, would you like some tea, dear?”
