Wright Watson was nervous, Harry Makepeace even more so. Neither policeman was comfortable attending the Sunday morning service at St Martin’s. Both had decided it would be worth going to see if anything could be gleaned from either the service or the worshippers.
‘Was this a good idea, sir?’
