Author Bio For S. Hollisway:

“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed” -Ernest Hemingway

“Existing: Because without existing what would there be to bleed about?” – S. Hollisway

Hi.

So, about my name.

S is for Shae.

The second part pays homage to the man whose been my father for most of my adult life (Mr. Hollis) and one of my writing inspirations, Ernest Hemingway.

I guess the next question I get a lot is: When/ Where did I learn to write?

Simple. I learned to write because my voice was never loud enough. I write to keep from screaming aloud because…well, people would stare. I write to scream in a way I will be heard.

Acknowledgements:

To my little Monster,

Everything mommy does is for you.  To make sure you never need for anything in this world and to show you that nothing is impossible

To "Adonis",

We crashed into each other and got tangled up.  I'm glad we didn't untie that knot.

To Dad,

Because the consistent rebuttal to every "I can't..." was "Says who?"

To JC,

My favorite. This is dedicated to you, to show you that "people like us" can recover and do great. We make crazy look good.

To My Love,

Do not fret because you are last or at the bottom. It's not an insult in the least. You are at the bottom because you've set the foundation for me to write again.  You gave me the courage to publish. You gave me the courage to express myself on paper. You gave me the courage to recapture my voice. I thank you. I love you.

To my Stones,

My supporters, my fan base, anyone who has ever encouraged me. Anyone who has ever supported me, who has ever bought a book, every read a line, ever offered a critic; positive, constructive, or just plain cruel. I would be nowhere without you all.

Until next time stones,

Bleed and Exist,

S. Hollisway
