It’s a state of unconsciousness. Maybe you feel it eating away at your skin. Seeping into holes that burrow into your heart. Suspended in solution, unaware of movement. If there is a heaviness, it’s the chemicals bonding to your bones, rotting your flesh.

Some people stay until there’s nothing left.

You can’t be pulled out by anyone. You have to climb out. Most people won’t even stay to watch you struggle. Try not to breath in and drown in the poison.

When you become conscious, you’re aware your making fast motions, slowed by the liquid, the awakening sensation that hasn’t blossomed. Arterial hardening. Joint stiffening. Heavy blooded. Then you hit a wall. Sink until you can push up from bottom.
