(Unedited Language) Not to be confused with The Guru (2002), which was about an Indian man coming to America, using porn to get his start in Hollywood, lives a sterotype, until he falls in love with a “Pretty Woman” porn star with a heart of gold, and they drive off. That movie is offensive just from the description. But it’s delightful, and funny, and surprisingly progressive. I’ve wanted to write a letter to Mike Meyers for a long time, telling him how The Love Guru (2008) doesn’t deserve the bad rap it’s gotten.
