Chapter Six

Early Arrival

I did not expect to see Cassey staring back at me. My pain drained away, turning to euphoria. Whatever I had touched in the place of timelessness had responded. Reached into this place of time and saved Cassey. I muttered a thank you to whatever force had answered my call. As I did, I could hear a voice. Not a voice like you would hear speaking in the room with you. More like a voice speaking from another place but being heard in my mind.

“You but thank yourself, seeing as how I am you.”
