Coming of age
The dreamy day remained. Even though night approached and the sun fell behind the hills of sand, the darkness was no longer dark. As if a full moon stood in the sky to light my path. Yet there was no moon. How strange I thought. I can now see in the darkness. I no longer needed light to push the shadows away. This was new. It pulled me into the moment as I searched the deepest corner peering into places I should not be able to see. Yet I could see them all clearly now.
“Cousin, what is wrong?”
