“Coming for a celebratory drink, Adrian?” Paul Mercer shouted from across the room.

Adrian Greeves considered for a moment, hesitating as usual to personal requests. “Sure, why not?” The team had just completed a fine job and he felt they needed a break from work. Many had put in the hours over the past few weeks, though not as many as his twelve to fourteen hour days.

They gathered at the Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel in Kent Street, The Rocks. It was Sydney’s oldest continually licensed hotel and one which Adrian had always wanted to visit as it brewed many local beers. He checked his watch as he got out of the taxi. It was 8:10pm. Paul and Ben piled out of the back.
