                “Not so far,” said Masters, rubbing his cheek.

Hurst said, “What Sean didn’t say was that he carried out his surveillance in the morning and in the evening, spending the rest of the day doing research. I saw him.”

“Is that true?” said Markus staring at Masters.

“Yes, but I believe I covered the relevant periods.”

Markus was not convinced he had done a thorough job. Perhaps Masters was right about his assumption but the surveillance had not been as comprehensive as he would have liked.
