Chapter 45

Clouds moved slowly across the sky. There were a few light grey ones but mostly dark angry ones which covered the entire sky. Colin Meredith wondered whether he should take an umbrella on his journey. He had followed the detective, Markus Doppler, by placing a tracking device on his vehicle when he was at the cop’s headquarters, having observed his movements for a few days. He needed to remove it and now was the best time, he felt. It was near midday and he imagined the detective preparing to go to lunch or inside the large Police Headquarters building. He was anxious and perhaps today, or perhaps not today, was the right time, but he had to take the chance. He needed to be patient once he was around the detective’s usual parking place.
