wondered why he had agreed to do so. Was it because Rob too was Australian? Or because Rob had seemed friendly? He hated this place with its steep stairs and air of neglect. Rob had not been around much which was a bonus but it turned out he was a slob and had few interests which matched his own. He decided he would look for a nicer apartment in a better area.

                London might turn out to be fun after all. It was September 2001.
