it was clear Alison didn’t wish him to stay. He took the hint and left. He didn’t pay the bill. As he strode along Leicester Square to the Empire Cinema he decided to watch a movie. No point in wasting the day completely.

                Later that night he received a call from Cleo, Alison’s friend. To say he was surprised would be an understatement. “Hello,” he said.
