Errol arrived at his house from the morning run to find a cat outside his door. It was meowing and acting friendly. He leaned down and stroked it. The cat brushed against his legs. The cat was soft and well looked after. It was black with an almost imperceptible patch of white under its chin. He wondered whether he should feed it. That would be a bad idea. It might keep coming back and the owners might not appreciate it. But he hadn’t seen it around so he presumed it wasn’t a pet belonging to the neighbours. He entered his place, leaving the cat outside. Hearing the cat still crying Errol opened the door. The cat wandered in. Opening the fridge he took out a plastic carton containing mince. He fed the cat.
As the black cat, a Burmese or part Burmese, ate, Errol observe...
