Chapter 30

Rachel walked along the street past the bus stop. It was peak hour. There were lots of people rushing around Railway Street, Chatswood. Tall men, short women, fat women, pudgy men, men in suits, women with skirts and high heels, men in runners, women in dresses, women in trousers or jeans – all types of people seemed to wander off the buses or trains. Rachel realised it was easier for Markus to follow her without being seen in such circumstances. She was meeting the second man of the four Markus had identified as possible suspects, based on emails from the ‘Cheaters’ website found on the victims’ computers.
