“Relationships – any romantic ones?”

Clare said with more spirit, “Judy was separated…why, do you think Ross did it?”

“We’ll check it out. Did she have any current boyfriends?”

“She didn’t talk about any so I imagine not.”

Markus gazed at her black pinstriped skirt, wondering how to phrase the next question. Clare had removed her matching jacket which now rested on the bed. “Do you know whether Judy used any dating sites to meet men?”

Clare almost laughed but she contained herself. “She’s never had any difficulty attracting men so I can’t imagine…you did see her outside, yeah?”

“She’s pretty, no doubt. Are you sure she wouldn’t use the internet?”
