Chuktik listened, incredulous, as Kah’shee and Sact’cha conversed in the ha’la’ai’s sing-song vocalizations. The two had been at it since sunrise, both occasionally shaking their heads and repeating phrases. He understood none of them, and from the look on Kah’shee’s face even he understood little that Sact’cha said. The Enforcer seemed to have a better grasp of the language they used than Kah’shee.
