“Good morning, Little Sparrow.”  Dingatet stood in the open doorway, leaning against the arch with his arms crossed and a bemused look on his face.  Chuktik sat up and rubbed the crust from his eyes.

“How are we supposed to know it’s morning,” he said, only half-complaining.  “There are no windows.”  Kah’shee stirred beside him, sat up and also rubbed his eyes.

Dingatet frowned.  “You’ll get used to it.”

“I don’t plan to stay that long.”  He hadn’t thought beyond delivering Kah’shee to the Keep, but now he considered it, all he wanted was to find Claktiss.  He felt in his heart she had escaped capture, but until he knew the truth, he’d never be satisfied.  I suppose...
