“You saw this with your own eyes?”  The two Enforcers stood at attention before Kile’cha and bristled at his question, but he gave them credit for maintaining discipline.  He found them on the road headed to O’rland, their horses barely able to walk after riding hard with no water.

“Our commander followed the ha’la’ai and the collaborator north, but we have not seen her since,” the fatter of the two said, the second content to let her partner do all the talking.  Neither was a model of an Enforcer standard, but that was often what worked the towers.  These may be the best of the lot, Kiletek thought.

“And the tower?”

“It is indeed destroyed.  The criminals were honest in that, at least.”
