When Alex returned from London we agreed if he had to work away again we’d not let it come between us. Saying that and actually doing that are two very different things. My mother told me this and she was right. She’s right often but I try not to tell her.

Now that he’s doing his work experience down in Kildare our deal was that he would come home every second weekend. I have gone down to visit him a couple of times but the room he’s renting only has a single bed and honestly his housemates are a bit annoying, so mostly we meet here rather than there.
