Sometimes I tire of being the Ideas Person. When we gather in Boss Lady’s office and she mentions an event and then she and Linda stare at me like puppies waiting for food. But on other days, well, it’s kinda fun to have people believe in you.
It’s Heritage Week, when locations around Ireland provide free events linked to Irish history and yesteryear, as Kitty would say. I don’t think I’ve ever said yesteryear in my entire life and now I’ve written it twice.
Heritage Week is tricky at the library. The building is about a hundred years old (and a death trap according to our fire inspector), but it’s not historic. Gerry Daly researched its entire history years ago and concluded it was historically uninteresting. But we still have to run an event.
