There is a kids book called “All the Hippos go Berserk” by Sandra Boynton. She’s a brilliant writer-illustrator and I read her books often at Story Time with Bob the Library Bear. In it, there’s a single hippo sitting at home but gradually more and more hippos turn up at their house and then a party breaks out. As you might expect, it gets a bit wild. 

The illustrations are hilarious. It’s one of the books I read if the kids aren’t enjoying the session enough because it will give at least one child a serious fit of the giggles and that’s infectious. 

I know that giggles are infectious thanks to the latest meeting of the Bailey Bookworms. I was upstairs in the community meeting room setting out the chairs in our usual circle when I heard them coming.
