I am almost too hungry to write, but I’m up early tomorrow for a date with Alex so this is my only chance.

The Bailey Bookworms decided we wouldn’t have a big trip away this year. Bill is saving for a house deposit, Kitty is working on her novel, and I’m saving to move in with Alex. Apparently Mary has to replace all the windows in her house and it’s costing a fortune. To say that we’re all broke would be putting it mildly.

But we did insist that we’d do cheap day trips instead. I suggested a book-buying trip to Dublin but as Kitty said, “Nina, that’s not cheap. We’ll spend a fortune.”

I hate it when she’s right. 

We’re hoping to do something free during Culture Week and to attend a talk at the Dublin Book F...
