I’m writing this to prove I can lift a pen. It’s the first time in a week that I’ve been able to do so. I haven’t even been able to read. As Alex said, that showed I was really ill.

It started two days after Linda went home early and left us short-handed. Boss Lady got on to Library HQ for a temp librarian from their panel, ideally Jim, our regular guy, but he’s sitting exams at the moment and apparently the entire panel was empty because the bug which was going around Castle Bailey since Christmas was also going around the entire country.
