You would think that if we had sisters causing chaos in the library it would be a pair of cute little toddlers making waves in the children’s section. Nope, they’re a little older.

Beth started it. I should blame her. She blabbed to me on Tuesday that Kitty was having a Roundy Birthday on Friday.

“A what?”

“A Roundy Birthday. You know, one with a zero in it.”

“Oh wow.” I didn’t know if that meant Kitty was going to be 70 or 80, as she refuses to yield her date of birth to our library registration system, but either way it would be a significant date. “She didn’t say a word. Actually I’ve known her for years now and she’s never mentioned her birthday to me, ever.”
