With Alex still studying in London I’ve found myself with more time on my hands. Naturally I’ve still not cleared my entire stack of books to be read for the book blog, but the stack is in less danger of toppling and crushing me.

The Secret Teen Book Club decided to take off the month of June as some of them have state exams to sit. They’ll be back in July. Simon has rejoined the group. He’s barely a teen now, turning twenty next month, when did that happen? I told him he could join the Bailey Bookworms but he prefers to chat about Young Adult books, for now at least. He’s landed a summer job working in a local retirement home. He says it’s physically demanding but he’s enjoying it and hopes it might be helpful for his medical studies.
