Exciting day today. We don’t often get authors visiting the library but I got up my courage and asked Sara O’Neill at the book signing back in Iceland. We exchanged emails since then and she actually came and did a talk today.

Yes, Sara O’Neill, the Irish thriller writers whose series about a dysfunctional English teacher in the west of Ireland who solves murders in her spare time is one of my total favourites. It probably helped that I’ve given her nothing but five star reviews on my book blog since I started it three years ago, but honestly she is just the loveliest person in real life.

This weekend when Alex rings I’ll have plenty to say and he won’t have much time to mention Rebecca and how wonderful she is at book conservation techniques.
