Our art lending programme is thriving. We’re not overwhelmed with requests to borrow but there’s a steady trickle and some pieces have been loaned more than once. I was relieved to find the artworks were being returned in good condition. It would have been awful, for example, to admit to Beth that one of her beautiful canvases had been ripped or damaged in some way. It appears that art borrowers are considerate library users.

This week we acquired some new art, of a sort, in the library but it has become Secret Art. Now that I think of it, Castle Bailey Library has become a bit of a hub for secrets, a secretorium perhaps?
