We have a new member of library staff. Luckily his pay is tiny, because he’s not very hard working. He is more lazy than Linda, which I thought was impossible.

Late April has been surprisingly warm. This week it has been warm enough to prop open the door to the courtyard garden. The garden’s daffodils are mostly gone but the bluebells are starting to come up and there are a handful of primroses in bloom. I keep meaning to stay late some evening and weed, but I’ve been busy between my book blog and meeting Alex.
