This month we brought the Bailey Bookworms to the next level. We had a fab trip to Wigtown but we weren’t able to rope in everybody. When we returned last autumn with tales of bookshops galore, whisky distillery tours, and great nights out, those who had remained behind suddenly wanted us to organise another book club holiday.

Noeleen suggested a trip to the Ennis Book Club Festival and it was pounced upon by everybody. As it didn’t involve international travel it would be a bit cheaper and with a smidge of car-sharing we were able to keep the transport costs low enough to give us a budget for book-shopping along the way. Grant came back to the next meeting with a route planned that enabled us to stop at indie bookshops on our way.
