Having survived one double date with Imelda and Zara this weekend I tried another. Alex promised Imelda had calmed down on the whole “Oh wow you two have to immediately get married and have little baby librarians” vibe she channelled before Christmas. I trusted him but at the same time I was edgy going into the city this evening. Imelda is almost as romantically inclined as Kitty and that’s a massive red fluffy heart shaped balloon of romance.

Kitty helped me out tonight actually. I must thank her at book club.

The four of us met in a pub before dinner as everybody was coming from different directions. I came straight from work in classic library attire - black combat trousers, my favourite Harry Potter t-shirt, and my denim jacket, topped with a striped scarf Julia gave me.
