We may have avoided the Spanish Inquisition disguised as dinner at Imelda and Zara’s apartment, for the moment, but Alex and I, now that we’re publicly seeing each other, can’t avoid all social events. Plus, why would we? It’s fun getting to spend time with other people. Although it’s great to spend time alone too.

Alex isn’t the sort of guy who likes to be clubbing every night of the week, which is a relief honestly as that’s not my kind of thing. I always end up with a headache (nothing to do with dancing and drinking for hours) and usually with a bruise on my foot from where some idiot stomped on me. I don’t earn enough to afford a taxi back from the city either and it’s not fair to still be asking Dad to pick me up at my age.
