This evening, much to Linda’s annoyance, she had to cover desk duties while I chaired this month’s book club meeting. Given half a chance she will try to ditch this onto Boss Lady. Sometimes our ever patient leader lets her away with it but she couldn’t help out this time as she’s away on holidays with her husband and their golf buddies again. I think it’s somewhere in northern Italy this time, but honestly I zone out when she talks about course design and green fees.

We had a good turn out despite the summer season. We’ve decided that if we don’t reach four attendees as a minimum we will cancel the meeting but this time we had me (of course), Kitty, Julia, Mary, Bill, and Grant.
