It’s a few years now since I graduated from my library studies degree and there are weeks in Castle Bailey Library when I ponder on how the curriculum needs improvement. Years of study, exams, and work placements gave me no insight on how to handle a Senior Librarian who hates books, children, and reading, for example. They also didn’t explain what to do when you discover your Boss Lady is using all the education budget for herself rather than investing in up-skilling her staff.
